one of my best friends in life came down from wisconsin to visit me for a few days this week.
we hadn't seen each other in almost 14 years!
i love this girl, kara.
even though we hadn't seen each other in such a long time, really it was as if no time had passed at all.
she's one of those friends.
she brought her son Augustus with her, who is the same age as Aubrey.
they became the best of friends too.
they had so much fun playing together, and being silly.
we took them to the Children's Museum.
Aubrey loved the pretend grocery store.
i even got to push connor and pull the teeny cart just like i do at the real store:)
we all liked the giant bubbles, even though augustus tried to pop them all!

my beautiful boy was pretty agitated the whole time, but he's glad Sissy and her friend had lots of fun.
i think we might be a little similar to our children...
the museum was fun, i think connor liked seeing this glowing ball thing best:)
but what they really loved was coming home and jumping in the pool!
and they jumped and they jumped...
they had a blast diving for pennies.
who knew 10 pennies could be worth so much fun?
i think they went swimming at least 4 times yesterday:)
last night kara (who is an exceptionally amazing photographer), took some photos of me and my sweet babies.
did i mention she is amazing?
and her son is a little miniature version of her amazingness.
i can't wait to see how the pictures turn out.
connor was asleep for some of them, but woke up when she was taking pictures of just him.
i am so anxious to see my beautiful boy through someone else's lens:)
i took a few with my handy dandy camera....
i had so much fun, even though it was only for a short time.
