it's a wet, soggy, rainy day today.

it's also aubrey and connor's first day back at school after being off for Spring Break.

also, my umbrella is broken.

but i was still able to hold it open and it did protect me from the downpour. 

so that's a good thing.

as i was sitting with connor at closing circle time at his school (he was sleeping so i was just moving his arms to the songs, didn't even phase him:) i realized how much i love those kids in his class.  

i was watching them all, each with their different challenges, and just felt so much love for each one.  

they are all so different and so special.  

when i see smiles just burst across their faces i want to just run up and squeeze their little cheeks and give them the biggest hug. (i don't, of course....i'm pretty sure that would fall in the 'inappropriate' category...)

or when i see them start to 'get' things, to really understand a concept for the first time, it just makes me so happy for them.  and happy in general.

 

 i'm so glad i get to observe and interact with such amazing little souls.

makes my day.
