let's talk about onesies.
because of connor's button tube in his stomach and because he's hooked up to his feeding pump all day, the best clothing for him to wear is a onesie. (that's what i call it, maybe some people call it a body suit? romper?)
anyway, it's the best thing for him to wear because it helps keep his tubing and tape in place and helps protect it from being yanked or the possibility of being pulled out.
however, after age 24 months they stop making onesies.
so connor has been squeezing into size 24 month old onesies for the past 3 years.
he's 5.
and a tall 5 year old at that.
so it's a bit of a problem.
i've looked and searched the internet for years to try and find bigger ones.
and they do make them, there are special needs sites that sell plain white onesies for an obscene amount of money. anywhere from $20-$60 per shirt. (!)
a little pricey for a plain white T if you ask me.
but my sweet boy has grown so much and is in desperate need of some clothes that fit.
so i was searching again last month and came across a company in the UK that sells them.
they call them 'snapper vests'. and they come in different cute colors!
they are still just as pricey, but because they aren't just plain white and because of all the wonderful people that donated money to help my son, i decided to go ahead and order them!!
and they came in the mail a couple days ago.
so exciting for me!
i love all the colors and the material is way nicer than i thought it would be.
the blue one is the new shirt and the red one is a 24 month size that my poor sweet boy has been squeezing himself into for far too long.
i'm so happy i am able to provide clothes that fit my beautiful boy, and it's because of the generous donations of so many.
so i wanted to say THANK YOU!
connor will be so happy to have a fresh new look.
i hope he feels extra special knowing that his clothes were shipped overseas.
seems very GQ to me...
